THE WASTELAND - DJ
The Wasteland is an ex-pat New Yorker living in Toronto, who is one half of the Prophecy party and It's Midnight Somewhere podcast alongside Mistress McCutchan. He got his start DJing at Sphere in Levittown, NY and has spun in Angola, IN and San Antonio, TX where he lived briefly before emigrating to Canada in 2013. His style of DJing is genre fluid but tends to lean into darker and heavier electronics, with 80's New Wave, Hip Hop and Synthpop mixed in
PAUL DEVISSER - PHOTOGRAPHER
Paul is a Toronto based photographer specializing in fine art.
Over the last several years, he has been photographing dance events as well as roller derby. Both types of events have pushed him to advance his skills as a photographer, enjoying learning new ways to use the space available in these events and experimenting with different photographic styles.
Not content to just shoot live events, he recently began doing studio work. Attending a number of workshops in the Toronto area being put on by some fabulous photographers, he is working on developing his own style and has had work published in Belly Dance magazines, major Toronto daily newspapers, promotional materials and websites.
